Update from Gavilan College on COVID-19: March 23, 2020

Today begins our second week of temporary online operations. We are all adjusting and doing our part, working together to meet the challenge of COVID-19.

  • GAVILAN COLLEGE:
  • All locations of Gavilan College are closed to staff and students
  • All instruction and services have been transitioned to an online format
  • The Gavilan College campus, including the golf course, is temporarily closed to the public

  • NEWS
  • NEW A lot of people have questions about the Shelter-in-Place directive. Check out these Shelter-in-Place FAQs from Santa Clara County
  • NEW The California National Guard has been deployed to assist with food distribution at county food banks.
  • NEW President Donald Trump has approved California’s request, submitted earlier today, for a presidential Major Disaster Declaration to bolster California’s COVID-19 emergency response efforts.

  • FOR STUDENTS:
  • The Chancellor's Office has launched a Student Resource Webpage. Some common questions are answered there. Keep checking the site as it is updated daily.

  • You can find COVID-19 resources, information, and community within the Vision Resource Center. Create an account or log in. Under the “Connect” menu, visit “All Communities” and look for the “CCC | COVID-19 Resources, Tools and Discussion” section. Click “Join Community” to access the content within
