GAVILAN COLLEGE:
  • NEW The Gavilan College Board of Trustees is meeting this evening to approve a Proclamation of Emergency for Gavilan Joint Community College District.
  • All locations of Gavilan College are closed to staff and students
  • All instruction and services have been transitioned to an online format
  • NEW A number of students were able to check out laptop computers on loan today. If you need a laptop to continue in your classes, please contact your instructor.

NEWS
  • NEW Congress and the White House are moving closer to a deal on a $2 trillion stimulus package to help families in the wake of the pandemic.
  • NEW The White House said today that, due to a spike in infections, people who have recently left New York City should self-quarantine for 14 days, no matter where they are now. President Trump said on Monday he is pushing back the deadline for when Americans will need the Real ID to travel domestically.
  • NEW President Donald Trump has approved California’s request, submitted earlier today, for a presidential Major Disaster Declaration to bolster California’s COVID-19 emergency response efforts.

  • NEW Destination: Home has launched a Financial Assistance Program for Low – Income Residents impacted by COVID-19. All Low-Income Santa Clara County residents who are experiencing a loss can apply, (ie. Homeowners, renters, folks living in RV’s, in hotels, etc.) This program can provide up to $4,000 per family per month during the COVID-19 event.
