The coronavirus pandemic has changed most of our lives . For many Gavilan College students, lost income and the temporary loss of access to on-campus services has created an even more difficult situation.

GAVILAN COLLEGE:
  • All locations of Gavilan College are closed. All instruction and services have been transitioned to an online format
  • Most instruction will continue in online format through the end of Spring semester
  • Summer Session will be entirely online
  • NEW The Library has extended all due dates from this semester to May 4, 2020. If the campus shutdown continues after that we will provide an additional extension.

  • NEW - Santa Clara County has extended Shelter-in-Place until May 3, with updated protocols. DETAILS

  • ONLINE INSTRUCTION -The Accessibility Center will host a webinar this Thursday, April 2, at 1:00 p.m. on Canvas accessibility and transitioning to online classes. Participants will learn the steps to take when creating instructional materials in Canvas as well as how to support students with disabilities during this transition from face-to-face to online instruction.   • NEW Are California Colleges Ready for Online Learning?: On Thursday, April 2, at 1 p.m., CalMatters College Journalism Network Editor Felicia Mello and fellow Aidan McGloin will moderate a conversation with California State University Chancellor Timothy White about how CSU is transitioning to online learning.
