March 27, 2020 - COVID-19 Update Essential Worker Documentation
To our State Medicaid, Health Plan and Self-Directed Services Stakeholders:

This message is part of GT’s regular communication to all our stakeholders as we monitor and respond to the Coronavirus outbreak.

The COVID-19 pandemic has presented unique and challenging circumstances for the health care industry. GT Independence is focused on our preparedness efforts to best support the needs of those we serve. This bulletin provides you updates on the latest steps we’ve taken in response to the recent developments.

GT Independence is fully operational.

All essential service elements are fully operational through our entirely virtual workforce. GT is receiving timesheets, issuing timely and accurate payments, providing customer support, conducting enrollments for new referrals and submitting encounter data according to our normal operational standards.

GT Independence is providing Essential Worker Documentation to all Providers.

As communities move to shelter in place or stay at home orders, many providers are in need of documentation indicating that they are an essential worker. All providers will receive an electronic copy of this documentation today and a physical copy in the next several days.
GT Independence has established a COVID-19 webpage with FAQs.

You can visit www.gtindependence.com/coronavirus to see frequently asked questions and links to State specific pages or resources. GT Independence will continue to update this site as more information becomes available.

GT Independence is here to help. Let’s Partner to Support People who are at Risk.

As this period of uncertainty continues, we are here to support you and we are eager to work jointly on solutions to meet the needs of people in our communities. We are staying up-to-date and participating at the national level on best practices and program alterations in response to COVID-19. If you need support or assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out.  You can view Applied Self Direction’s COVID-19 resource material here: http://www.appliedselfdirection.com/covid-19-resources .
