Vaccine Booster Information
Booster doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine are now available at CMH Outpatient Pharmacies for:
  • People age 65 and older
  • People age 50-64 with underlying medical conditions
  • People living in long-term care facilities
  • Individuals age 18-64 with underlying medical conditions or who are at higher risk of exposure to COVID-19 due to where they live or work (including health care workers)

Employees, volunteers and agency staff who received their second dose of the Pfizer vaccine more than six months ago can also get a booster dose from Employee Health. Schedule appointments with them by emailing Noelle McClure or Betsy Brenden. If you have questions regarding the date of your last dose of the Pfizer vaccine, they can look it up for you.

The Clatsop County Public Health Department will begin administering Pfizer booster shots, by appointment, at its Astoria office beginning Oct. 4. Pfizer boosters are also available at a number of other area clinics and pharmacies.
 
Federal health authorities are still evaluating whether to recommend booster shots for the other two COVID-19 vaccines, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson. At this time, FDA review of Moderna booster doses are anticipated in mid-to-late October.
COVID-19 Testing Update at CMH
Essential Workers
The CMH COVID Testing Lab is now testing symptomatic patients M-F, 2:30-4 p.m., by appointment only. Appointments can be made by calling 503-338-4656. There is no walk-in testing availability.

If someone needs work or school-related testing, they should go through the Clatsop County Health Department so they can track those cases. The county is currently offering drive-through testing at Camp Rilea (33168 Patriot Way, Warrenton), M-F, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Appointments are required and can be made by calling 503-325-8500.
Vaccination Update
Vaccines Are Available at CMH Pharmacies - No Appointment Needed

As we have previously communicated, the Oregon Health Authority released its guidance on August 25, 2021, that all health care workers and K-12 school employees/volunteers must be vaccinated by October 18, 2021. Consistent with this regulatory change, CMH requires that all caregivers be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 unless they have received an approved medical or religious exception. Here you will find CMH’s Covid-19 Immunizations policy.


Vaccines can be obtained at any CMH Pharmacy — no appointment is required.
Updated COVID Exposure Plan
The prevention of the spread of SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) is of significant importance. The development of a house-wide plan that addresses risk assessment and engineering controls must be implemented. This plan is applicable to all departments of CMH listed within the policy scope.
