Dear colleagues and students;
With guidance provided by the Government of Saskatchewan’s
Re-Open Saskatchewan Plan and in consultation with public health and Saskatchewan’s Chief Medical Health Office, Campion will continue to work with the University of Regina to deliver a cohesive approach to education for the fall 2020 semester.
The COVID-19 crisis has introduced principles and protocols to safeguard our students, faculty and staff which in turn, have guided our approach of the delivery of fall classes. As such, our planning for the fall classes will be focused largely using distance learning formats.
We are encouraging students to monitor their uregina emails, social media, and for those that have signed up for it, the SMS text alerts we have been sending to them.
While this is a much different fall than we originally thought when we rang in 2020, I have been humbled and honoured to have such resilient and committed faculty and staff that truly live our Jesuit values each day.
As a Jesuit college, Campion College believes in
Cura Personalis - care for the whole person. That care will ensure that any plans we announce for the fall semester and beyond seeks to involve not only physical health, but also spiritual and mental health. However, any details we will announce over the coming days and weeks about our intentions for the fall, we must also acknowledge that any new pandemic developments could require adjustments.
I continue to pray for each of you and your families and wish you all good health and safety.
Fr. Sami Helewa, SJ
