Dear Worcester Preparatory Community,

Today our Lower School successfully transitioned to Continuous Learning and I am incredibly proud of our faculty, students and parents for working together to create a productive and positive first day. The resiliency of our school community is never more evident than when we come together to achieve the common goal of educating our students.

I also wanted to provide an update in regards to the two positive COVID-19 tests reported to us this week. We continue to work very closely with the Worcester County Health Department as they complete contact tracing protocols related to these cases. As mentioned yesterday, you will be contacted directly by the Health Department if you are identified as a close contact and need to quarantine.

As of the writing of this communication, there have been no other positive tests at Worcester Preparatory School. In addition, all results returned to the school from tests conducted on close contacts of the infected individuals have been negative. We will continue to update you as we receive updated information from the Health Department.

While this has been a challenging time, we are so appreciative of everyone’s effort, cooperation and feedback as we work through this process. Thank you for being such a special, committed and supportive school community.

As always, stay informed, stay safe and stay Mallard Strong!
