I n an effort to keep Delaware's medical community current on the latest information regarding the coronavirus crisis, the Medical Society of Delaware is sharing the following:
DPH Announces 118 New Positive Cases / One Additional Death

According to the Delaware Division of Public Health (DPH)  118 new Delawareans have been diagnosed with COVID-19, taking the total number of lab-confirmed cases to  6,565, including  275 who are hospitalized,  58 of whom are critically ill.

Two hundred twenty-five individuals have died due to COVID-19 in Delaware with ages ranging from 22 to 103 years old. The most recent death announced today was a 54-year-old female long-term care resident from Kent County with underlying health conditions.  

Latest statistics on positive cases:

  • New Castle County cases: 2,390
  • Kent County cases: 1,044
  • Sussex County cases: 3,091
  • Unknown County: 40
  • Age range: 0 to 103
DPH / Physician Conference Call - Tomorrow

The next Division of Public Health (DPH) conference call for physicians and practice managers will be tomorrow, Tuesday, May 12th at 6:00 p.m. This call is to help answer new questions about COVID-19. If you have a question that hasn't already been answered in previous calls, please submit it before noon tomorrow. Health Care Heroes
