COVID-19 Update #2
Free Wi-Fi, Meals for Families
Dear Dayton Christian Families,

I have heard more than one person during this past week quote God’s promise to never leave us nor forsake us, and every day I am reminded of this in very practical ways.

Today, we have been informed of two wonderful opportunities to help our families over the next couple of weeks. It’s important that you read these opportunities with our entire DC family in mind. While you may not need these services, you may likely know someone who does.

Let’s work together to make sure that families know about these opportunities and are able to access them when needed:

Free Wi-Fi for homes in need

Spectrum has announced that it will offer free broadband and Wi-Fi access for 60 days to households with K-12 students who do not currently have a Spectrum broadband subscription at any level up to 100 Mbps.

This service is intended to help students as they transition to a virtual learning platform that requires Wi-Fi.

To enroll in the service, call 1-844-488-8395. All installation fees for student households will also be waived.

Free meals for students

W.g. Grinders will offer free breakfast and lunch through designated drive-through locations in Dayton. A family simply has to drive up to the designated area with their student(s) in the car.

Where: DECA Prep at 200 Homewood Ave. & DECA Middle School at 110 N. Patterson Rd.
When: Monday, March 6 through Friday, April 3
Time: 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Please note: This service will be provided for as long as school is closed.

These two opportunities are among the others we have already announced in previous communication. Please refer to our COVID-19 communication and resource pages online for previous communication and vital links.
