Dear Families,

I’m writing to notify you that an individual who attends the Club Atlas day treatment program (DTP) located at 199 Kings Highway, Warwick, NY was exposed to a family member who reported a positive test result for COVID-19. The last date of exposure was Monday, November 16, 2020.

Therefore, effective immediately and as a precautionary measure, Club Atlas DTP will be closed for 14 days. We follow strict cleaning protocols set forth by the Office of People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD), NYS Department of Health (DOH) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines. Subsequently, we have contracted with a qualified and licensed cleaning company to effectively sanitize the DTP premises in accordance with recommendations from the NYS DOH, CDC and OPWDD, which will permit the re-opening of Club Atlas on December 1, 2020.

Because this was an indirect exposure to someone with a positive test result for COVID-19, you may or may not choose to have your family member tested. We support your decision either way.

As you know, the coronavirus health crisis is impacting everyone – from our community to all nations worldwide. We assure you, however, that our team takes extreme measures to protect your family member.

We will continue to communicate as we have more news to share. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me via email at [email protected] or my cell (845) 505-0354 with any questions and concerns.

Stay healthy and safe,
