Yesterday the Iowa Legislature Legislative Council met via teleconference to discuss next steps for the 2020 legislative session. The council unanimously voted to reconvene on
April 30 at 10:00 AM.
One of the issues the legislature will focus on is the state's budget and working through the federal relief packages. It is estimated that Iowa will receive $1.25 billion from the federal government as part of the CARES Act.
IDA will resume the Friday legislative calls as soon as the legislature reconvenes.
