Help us Congratulate the Class of 2020
COVID-19 has forced us to make changes to the way we mark important milestones, like graduating from dental school. The University of Iowa College of Dentistry will be live-streaming a virtual commencement on June 5 at 3:00 PM and is asking for the dental community to submit congratulatory messages to the class of 2020.

Messages may be videos or text. As a reminder, all graduates have their first year's dues for IDA waived. Please take this time to welcome them to the Iowa Dental Association.
Iowa Legislature Plans to Reconvene on April 30
Yesterday the Iowa Legislature Legislative Council met via teleconference to discuss next steps for the 2020 legislative session. The council unanimously voted to reconvene on April 30 at 10:00 AM.

One of the issues the legislature will focus on is the state's budget and working through the federal relief packages. It is estimated that Iowa will receive $1.25 billion from the federal government as part of the CARES Act.

IDA will resume the Friday legislative calls as soon as the legislature reconvenes.
