A Message from the IDA Board
IDA Members,

The officers and board of trustees of the IDA wanted to take a minute and acknowledge the hard work from some of our most valued members, our IDA Staff.
Laurie, Kara, Stacy, and Ashley have gone above and beyond during this COVID-19 crisis. They have dug in at home and worked tirelessly to bring us all the most up to date information in an ever changing landscape. Along with their normal duties, they have added the tasks of daily informational emails, gathering up to date CDC guidelines, spearheading PPE donations, rescheduling IMOM, as well as taking our annual IDEAS meeting online.

They have put aside the “normal” 8-5 time and have been working around the clock and on weekends. No one asked them to do this, they just stepped up and did it.
While I realize we are all stressed about our practices, our patients, and the crisis, I think it nice to take the time to acknowledge what we have and that is a strong dental family that has been sticking together. If we all keep working like we are now, we will all come out on the other side of this crisis stronger and closer.
I would encourage our members to take a minute and thank the staff at IDA the next time we are all together in-person. Also, don’t be afraid to thank anyone else who might be helping you get through this challenging period.

As always, we value everyone in and out of the association. We all will keep working to help you through these challenges.

Dr. Ryan Stuntz - President
Dr. Nathan Hehr - President Elect
Dr. Zach Kouri - Vice President
Iowa Dental Association Board of Trustees

Register to Serve in the Iowa Statewide Emergency Registry of Volunteers
Interested individuals are encouraged to register as a willing and able volunteer through the Iowa Statewide Emergency Registry of Volunteers (i-SERV) – the Iowa Department of Public Health's secure online registry for individuals wishing to volunteer in the event of a large-scale disaster or public health emergency. Volunteers maintain the option to accept or decline any opportunity. Due to the Governor’s Public Health Disaster Emergency Declaration, individuals who volunteer to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic are granted liability immunity for their service. Volunteering for this disaster response will not impact unemployment benefits for those who are receiving them as a result of their clinic temporarily shutting down.
