Thank you to all the customers that have thoughtfully checked in with us over the last few days. We’ve received such an outpouring of love and support from you and those who continue to use or services during this challenging time. Our entire team is extremely appreciative of the support and your generosity.
We do have some sad news to report. Today, we closed our DIY Dog Wash in Adams Morgan, indefinitely. We made the business decision early this year to concentrate the future of our business on the remaining services: Dog Walking & Pet Sitting, Dog Daycare & Boarding, and Dog Training. Our plan was to provide notice around this time to customers that our doors would be closing April 30. However in light of the rapidly developing COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on Fur-Get Me Not, we have closed our operations effective today, March 18, 2020.
Our DIY Dog Wash operated in Adams Morgan for 10 years. We had so many local residents that supported our business and used our service on a regular basis. We enjoyed all the events we’ve held through the years, especially partnering with local shelters and rescues to host charity washes. Our team loved meeting all the dogs and honoring them on our Suds Club “Wall of Fame”. We will truly miss the neighborhood.
We are very sorry for the suddenness of our closing, but we felt this was the right move for our team’s safety and to allow us to focus on our other services during this difficult time. We do have several customer bottles of shampoo stored there. If you’d like yours back, please
and we can arrange a pick-up before the end of this month.
Our dog walking & pet sitting business in DC will not be impacted by the Dog Wash closure. We will continue to offer those services in the area neighborhoods. We are adjusting our internal processes to reduce the need for the office space that the Dog Wash provided. Please continue to call
for services or email our
Thanks for your business and your support over the past 10 years!
