DPH Announces 161 New Positive Cases / Two Additional Deaths
According to the Delaware Division of Public Health (DPH)
161 new Delawareans have been diagnosed with COVID-19, taking the total number of lab-confirmed cases to
8,690, including
210 who are hospitalized,
46 of whom are critically ill.
Three hundred twenty-four individuals have died due to COVID-19 in Delaware with ages ranging from 21 to 103 years old. A total of 147 individuals were from New Castle County, 56 were from Kent County, 120 were from Sussex County, and one individual’s county of residence is unknown.
The most recent deaths ranged in age from 76 to 87. One was a New Castle County resident and one was a Sussex County fesident. Both were residents of a long-term care facility and both had underlying health conditions.
