In preparation for the start of our Fall 2021 semester, I am sharing an important update.
As you are aware, all members of the Pace University community are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, unless they have received an official University accommodation. You will not be able to access campus unless your proof of vaccination or medical or religious exemption request has been submitted and approved.
In addition, New York City Emergency Executive Order 226—Key to NYC—mandates that all individuals using indoor dining or athletic facilities or attending indoor entertainment events in New York City must be vaccinated against COVID-19. At Pace, these restrictions apply specifically on the NYC Campus to indoor sit-down dining in Café 101 and the faculty dining room, all fitness centers, the art gallery, and potentially other entertainment venues. Effective immediately, unvaccinated individuals may not utilize these facilities until the municipal policy is amended or an accommodation is granted by the University in accordance with the procedure described here. Informational signage will be posted, and we will continue to support grab-and-go food orders via GrubHub by providing a convenient pick-up station.
At the University, our intention is to protect the health and safety of our community in compliance with official guidelines and regulations, while providing an experience that looks and feels more like normal for everyone.
