Mentorship in Times of Crisis - Recruiting Mentors and Mentees for Mentorship Programs
In these unprecedented times, it is all the more important for us to help one another deal with the challenges and isolation caused by the office closures, remote work arrangements and financial fallout we may be experiencing.

Though in-person meetings should be avoided, valuable mentorship can still be provided by video or telephone, and we are inviting new participants to engage remotely in both our Mentor Connect and Mentor Express programs.

A Lawyers' Guide to Video Conferencing
It used to be that organizing a video conference with your colleagues or clients was difficult, expensive and painful. Not anymore.

To help you get started, this guide will walk you through the basics on how to install and use two of the most popular video apps: Zoom and Skype.

Alberta Lawyers’ Assistance Society: Updates and Upcoming Events
The Alberta Lawyers’ Assistance Society’s (Assist) mission is to enhance the immediate and long-term well-being of Alberta lawyers, articling and law students, and their dependent families, through confidential and non-judgmental psychological assistance, peer support, education and community-building.

Assist is working remotely during the COVID-19 crisis to ensure they continue to meet the needs of the legal community.

Assist continues to offer a number of services and events including:

  • Live-streamed yoga
  • New parents practising law group
  • 12 step groups
