OPWDD Revised Interim Guidance Regarding Community Outings
The Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) published revised "
Interim Guidance Regarding Community Outings."
The guidance has been revised to eliminate the 50% vehicle capacity reduction in circumstances where individuals or staff who live or work together are being transported together. Please see page 2 of the document for the revision.
This change should allow greater flexibility for Chapters when arranging transportation to and from programming and community outings.
NYS Travel Advisory Update
Today, Governor Cuomo announced the addition of two states to the travel advisory. Alaska and Delaware now meet the metrics to qualify for the travel advisory. No locations were removed from the list. Chapters should continue to review the list and advise employees of the current designated states. The current list can be found here.
