Personal Safety Practices
When visiting campus, consider the following best practices with regard to physical distancing, face coverings, and personal hygiene.
Social Distancing
When on campus, community members are expected to maintain appropriate social distancing. Please keep in mind Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommendations for safe social distancing, which includes remaining out of congregate settings, avoiding mass gatherings, and maintaining distance of approximately six feet from others when possible.
Face Coverings
While visiting campus, students and other community members are highly encouraged to wear face coverings when inside campus buildings as employees are currently required to wear face coverings.

Personal Hygiene
The best way to prevent infection is to avoid being exposed to the virus. Students on campus should adhere to the following CDC recommendations to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 or any type of illness.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue or sleeve, then throw the tissue in the trash.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
  • Don’t share personal items such as water bottles.
