Dear NSM Community,

As you know, cases of COVID-19 in Cambridge have been trending upward. Cambridge Public Schools have been tracking several metrics to determine whether to remain open for in-person learning, and they have decided to go fully remote for at least one week starting this Thursday. More information about their data can be found here: https://www.cpsd.us/cms/One.aspx?portalId=3042869&pageId=69798726

Based on this information, previous trends in the area, and the timing of Thanksgiving, New School of Music will be going fully remote from Friday, December 11 through winter break.

This means that after Thursday, December 10, there will be no in-person lessons or classes at the school until January. If you are not able to switch to virtual lessons, please contact me. For classes or programs that are currently happening only in-person, keep an eye out for more communications coming soon regarding rescheduling and/or credits.

You will hear from me again toward the end of winter break confirming if we are able to open our in-person programming again in January.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. I hope that you and your families are staying well.

Thank you,
Caroline Drozdiak
