COVID-19 Update

Democrats for Equality, Yesterday, our club's immediate past president and current Democratic Party Chair Will Rodriguez-Kennedy announced on Facebook that he has tested positive for COVID-19. Doctors at the VA Medical Center continue to monitor him in the ICU. Additionally, club member and our endorsed candidate in Council District 9 Kelvin Barrios announced that he has tested positive for COVID-19. Kelvin was hospitalized a few days ago but is now recovering in self-quarantine at home. He issued a press release from his campaign which you can read below.

Also, it pains me to say that another club member Jehoan Espinoza announced yesterday that he had tested positive. Here are our friend's updates from last night:

Our friend Councilmember Steve Padilla continues to battle the virus in the ICU and is hooked up to a respirator. According to San Diego County officials, there are 159 confirmed cases as of yesterday. 64% of the cases locally are those between the ages of 20 and 49. You can check data monitored from the County on their website here . We are all monitoring the day-to-day on the Coronavirus pandemic. If anything changes, especially with our friends and club members, we'll be sure to let you know! Again, o n behalf of the club, we want to offer our thoughts and healing vibes to Steve, Will, Kelvin, and Jehoan in the hope that everyone affected by this has a healthy recovery.
