Dear Chatham Hall Community,

I hope this email finds you enjoying the last weeks of Summer Break and looking forward to returning to campus as much as we are looking forward to your return!

As you are no doubt aware, the global COVID-19 pandemic is unfortunately experiencing a Delta variant surge that is a concern to even those who are vaccinated. Despite requiring vaccinations of our students and employees who do not meet the criteria for exemption, this threat must be taken into account in our opening of school plans. We have had to update our plans twice this week alone, and expect that we may have a few more changes in the days to come.

Despite that, I wanted to give you an idea of how we currently see the first weeks of the school year running, and the answers we have now for our most frequently asked questions. All of this is subject to change depending upon pandemic activity, guidance from the CDC and/or our local health officials, federal and state regulations and order, etc., but it is our expectation at the moment with the information we have available today.

I want to thank you all for your continued collective commitment to safeguarding yourself and your families against COVID-19 and for your patience as we navigate the weeks ahead. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, there is no community with which I’d rather navigate these uncharted times than the Chatham Hall community.

Together, we are Turtle Strong!

Sincerely,
Rachel Avery Connell
