Dear Parents,

With the safety and well-being of our students and staff a top priority, we are writing to provide an update on measures being taken at school to continue to keep our community healthy.
  • Teaching staff are encouraging and reminding students to wash their hands thoroughly.  We will be sharing several online resources at our staff meeting today that will provide visual examples at grade appropriate levels that can be used in the classrooms.
  • Staff who are experiencing symptoms of cold or flu are being asked to stay home.
Parents are crucial partners in keeping our schools healthy. We urge you to consider the following:
  • Read and adopt basic measures to protect your family's health, as provided by  Public Health Canada and the World Health Organization.
  • Please reinforce for your children the importance of washing hands for at least twenty seconds with soap and warm water, especially prior to eating.
  • If your child is experiencing symptoms of the cold or flu, please keep them home and - if necessary - seek medical attention.
In consultation with UJA Federation's Centre for Jewish Education and Jewish day schools throughout the city, we are closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation in the Greater Toronto Area.  In addition, we are working closely with community partners including the MNjcc and Toronto Public Health to stay abreast of developments that may impact our community. Yesterday, the MNjcc sent a communication regarding steps being taken in the building.  To view a copy of this notice, please click here.

Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Warmly,
Amy
