Dear Team,

I wanted to let you know that I will be working from home this week after testing positive for COVID-19. I am fully vaccinated and boosted. Thankfully, I am only experiencing mild symptoms. I will continue to work on county business and participate in meetings from home. I encourage you to get tested if you are feeling sick. That way, if you do test positive as I did, you can isolate and not spread the virus to others.

I am pleased to offer onsite COVID-19 testing for Orange County employees and family members from the same household. Testing is Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. at Facilities Management Training Room (2010 E. Michigan Street, Orlando, FL 32806). Check OrangeNet for more information.

I will be sure to follow the County’s COVID-19 Exposure Guidelines to assist me in determining when it is safe to return to the workplace. If you have not already done so, I recommend that you familiarize yourself with this document to ensure you know what to do if you test positive or have an exposure.
