NJDOT ISSUES NEW INSTRUCTIONS FOR PROJECT SAMPLE DELIVERIES TO ITS LABORATORY
 
NJDOT has issued new procedures for project sample deliveries to its State laboratory that are effective today and should be followed until further notice from the Department.
 
Below are the new procedures provided to us by NJDOT:
 
*COVID- 19* Asphalt Lab Sample Instructions
 
The following are a list of instructions that must be followed when delivering samples to the asphalt labs during the COVID-19 pandemic:
 
  1. You will not be permitted into the building. Please call the appropriate following numbers for assistance: Density & Liquids Labs: 609-530-2301, Research Lab: 609-530-2310, and if there is no reply at the previous numbers call 609-530-3584.
  2. You will only be permitted to enter the building to use the restrooms, but proper Personal Protective Equipment must be worn. This includes both a mask and gloves.
  3. No samples should be left unattended outside. Wait for someone from the lab to receive the samples. The labs will not accept samples left outside.

STATE OF PENNSYLVANIA ISSUES GUIDANCE FOR ALL CONSTRUCTION BUSINESSES TO RESTART CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES
 
Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf earlier issued a guidance document that allows all construction activities, (both public and private) to resume in Pennsylvania on May 1, 2020. The guidelines identify different types of construction with specific requirements that must be followed for construction operations to restart and continue. Different requirements are identified for residential construction, commercial construction and public construction.
