COVID-19 UPDATE
The Governors of New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut have announced coordinated social restrictions in an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19, details are below.
For Contractors:
- As of this writing, all state and local construction projects can proceed as planned; no special considerations for our industry have been cited. All State workers needed to administer, inspect, review and process documents/ paperwork and payments for projects will continue.
- The New Jersey Infrastructure Bank will be fully operational to process all the necessary paperwork to continue to fund existing project payments. The I-Bank has notified all its loan recipients that the Bank will continue to be fully operational.
- NJDOT will continue to process all Local Aid funds and paperwork.
- We have checked with a number of Counties and they intend to keep all projects on schedule. Spot checking several municipalities, and all are continuing projects.
- DOT has requested that any contractors with issues or concerns regarding work schedules or other impacts from the COVID-19 outbreak work through UTCA staff. Please contact George Lobman with any concerns: george@utcanj.org
