August 4, 2021
Dear Saint Mark Parents,
We have all been anxiously awaiting the Office of the Superintendent of Schools to update us on what the return to school will look like for Diocesan Schools in September.
There is a clear sense that a return to normalcy for our students is the goal for the school year. The Diocese of Bridgeport Catholic Schools is waiting for more concrete information from the State of Connecticut as to what might be mandated for September and beyond.
Please click here to read Dr. Cheeseman’s update as of today, August 4th, 2021 for the return to school in September.
In the coming weeks, St. Mark School will work with the Diocese of Bridgeport and Stratford Department of Public Health to tailor these recommendations to fit the reality of St. Mark School.
A detailed communication will follow with our individual school policies (which will include drop off, classroom, restroom, lunch, and dismissal policies) prior to the first day of school, September 2nd, 2021.
St. Mark School has been through many transitions since the pandemic began in March 2020. We will continue to provide a safe, faith-based learning environment for our students. Together we are stronger.
Yours in Christ,
Melissa Warner
