COVID-19 Update: Feedback Appreciated
Dear Families and Friends of Tabor Village:

Visitation: How Are We Doing?

Our key focus here at Tabor Village is providing 'Care from the Heart' for older adults and their families with Christian compassion and respect. In order to do this to the best of our ability, we need to hear from you!

With regards to visitation specifically, we would very much appreciate hearing about your experiences and feelings towards it. Below is a list of questions that we would love your response on!

Will you help us improve visitation for you and your loved one(s)?

  1. On a scale of 1 - 5, 1 being very weak and 5 being excellent, how would you rate your overall experience with visitation?
  2. In your opinion, are the protocols fair and easy to follow?
  3. In your opinion, is 6 feet away acceptable or would the visit be better with less distance and a plexiglass barrier in between?
  4. Are the visitation times acceptable for you? Are there enough times available for you to see your loved one?
  5. How is your loved one in care responding to the visit? Are they experiencing a positive or negative reaction to the visit?
  6. Do you feel safe when coming in for the visit and do you feel your loved one is safe during the visit?
  7. In your opinion, is there acceptable supervision or too much supervision of the visit?
  8. In your opinion, is Tabor Village doing enough to protect against COVID-19 or doing too much and being unreasonable?
  9. In your opinion, is Tabor Village communicating well with regards to visitation? Is Tabor Village communicating a reasonable amount, too much, or not enough?
  10. When coming in for the visit, do you feel both you and your loved one(s) are cared for with compassion and respect?

Copy and past these 10 questions in an email to Bethany at and provide your response. We will review all responses with our COVID-19 Management Committee and work to improve both yours and your loved ones visits as best we can.

We care for you and it is our desire to provide you the best quality of care because you're family! 'Care from the Heart' is more than a nice slogan, it's an action and one we strive to act on every single day.

Thank You United Way Lower Mainland!
Thanks to our friends at United Way Lower Mainland, all Assisted Living tenants now have their very own mask! Not only is each tenant keeping themselves safe, but they're helping to protect their fellow neighbours as well!
United Way didn't stop at blessing tenants, they also blessed staff!

They made a special delivery and dropped off some gift bags for our complex care staff to say thanks for everything they're doing to care for older adults.

We've been blessed by so many around our community and cannot say thank you enough for the endless generosity that we have been gracious recipients of.

Palliative Care Survey
Results Are In!
The Tabor Village community includes many aspects of life. We engage with people’s physical, emotional, social, and spiritual health and wellness. This engagement includes residents, tenants, families, staff, volunteers and community partners. Tabor is a place to live well, experiencing recreation, good food, new friends and opportunities; and it is also a place for people to make the final steps of their journey on this earth.

End-of-life care is what we do.

Please take a few minutes to read “Results Are In” and allow us to share findings from our recent survey on end-of-life care satisfaction.

The end-of-life journey is truly a partnership between family and Tabor Village. Walking with families during this difficult time in their lives is a deep privilege and honour.

Our goal throughout the pandemic is to ensure that communication channels remain open. You are encouraged to reach out to myself or your loved ones' care team with any questions or support you need as we all work together to continue to ensure the safety and wellness of your beloved family members.

Will You Take Up the Challenge?

Restrictions might be loosening around the province, but for healthcare workers, not much has changed. With the Province opening up, there is higher risk of spread, which means Personal Protective Equipment is more important than ever.

PPE is in extremely high demand and the prices are astronomical. We have raised $43,000 of the $100,000 goal.

We have roughly 260 residents Village wide, which means there are 260 families. If every family gave $220 today, we would reach the total $100,000 goal to cover these increasingly high expenses of necessary supplies.
