COVID-19 Update
Dear Family and Friends of Tabor Home:

This season of outbreak that we're in has caused immense hardship. Our hearts are heavy, our burden feels overwhelming, our bodies are exhausted, and the stress and anxiety we are feeling can seem too much to bear. When older adults move into Tabor Home, they become like family. We get to know them, love them, and have the honour and privilege of caring for them. When we lose one of these precious lives, it is devastating. When we lose over 20 in just one month's time, it is a tragedy.

While no words are adequate to fully describe the abounding emotions and grief we are all experiencing, we can certainly lean on each other for support and continue to pray for healing to spread over this Home.

If you are struggling and/or simply in need of a listening ear, we are here for you. There is also a list below of mental health resources that we highly recommend you take advantage of. These resources exist to help, to serve, and to be used.

Keep the faith, keep persevering, keep choosing hope. We may not be able to see it now, but this outbreak will come to an end and we will be stronger because of it.

Townhall Meetings - Ask Us Anything
In an effort to further our transparency, openness, and continually improve upon our communication, we will be starting townhall meetings with all Tabor Home families during the outbreak. This is just one of many ways we are offering better communication to families during this very challenging time. These meetings will be lead by myself, Dan Levitt, via ZOOM (video conferencing) and will occur for each unit/neighbourhood (depending on the neighbourhood that your loved one lives on).

These townhall meetings will allow you to ask questions and express any concerns you may have. Please note that while we are always happy and available to address any questions regarding your loved one's health and well-being, we ask that you reach out privately at a different time to discuss these and/or on your weekly phone call with our dedicated team of callers where confidential discussion is able to take place about your specific loved one's health.
