COVID-19: Message from OCFP President
Dr. Jennifer Young

March 15, 2020
Dear Colleagues,

I know you are all working tirelessly to keep your patients safe. Like me, it's becoming increasingly challenging to keep up to date on evolving guidance, expectations, and managing our clinics with limited supplies and tests. On behalf of the OCFP, we know COVID-19 is stretching us, and we are all concerned about how things will progress. I also know that family doctors step up in times like this, and your collective leadership is a tremendous source of pride in our profession.

To help you, we’ve consolidated information as best as we can, recognizing that it changes rapidly.

We do not want to duplicate what’s already available , but we will fill gaps when asked by our members.

You and your patients are our #1 priority.

The OCFP website is updated daily. You will find all the situation reports and information from the Ministry of Health and Public Health Ontario.

OF NOTE: The ministry’s Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) has a  24/7 hotline (1-866-212-2272)   for healthcare providers ONLY for questions or concerns about COVID-19. Please DO NOT provide this number to your patients/public. They are receiving many patient calls which impacts their responsiveness to questions from family doctors.
