The Downtown Improvement District has created a COVID-19 resource page. We know that these are uncertain times, but please know that the we are here to support you however we can.






The Water Street Mercantile
Ben Hall and his team have been busy at the new Water Street Mercantile at Hall's Gas House at 305. E. Superior Street as they offer basic grocery needs during COVID-19 to the public.




Downtown Fort Wayne Partners with  Waiter on the Way for Free Delivery
The Fort Wayne Downtown Improvement District, in partnership with Waiter on the Way, announced on March 19 that deliveries through Waiter on the Way will be FREE to patrons who order from restaurants that Waiter on the Way delivers from within the 99 blocks of the Downtown Improvement District for the next 30 days. Please use code "DTFW" during online checkout or mention it during a phone order placement.

Waiter on the Way has added a function to their checkout system that allows customers the ability to tip both the restaurant staff and the delivery driver, allowing the restaurant to better support its staff during this difficult time.




Family Fun Night-In Facebook Giveaway
We personally delivered our "Family Fun Night In" Facebook giveaway to a randomly selected family right here in Fort Wayne! Congrats to the Aceves family! They received gifts from Art by Alexandra Hall, 816 Pint & Slice, Reboot, and Embassy Theatre! We had over 2,000 engagements with this post and really love watching all of you support local businesses. We will be doing more of these in the days and weeks ahead!



Critical Response Grants
Foellinger Foundation has announced its Critical Response Grants, committing $1.35M in support of Allen County nonprofits addressing the COVID-19 pandemic.

When the COVID-19 crisis began shutting down restaurants and laying off servers across the city, the Polks stepped in to offer their extended family much-needed help.
