Dear Employees,

Earlier today, I signed an Executive Order for Orange County residents and visitors to stay at home, beginning Thursday, March 26, 2020 at 11 p.m., through Thursday, April 9, 2020 at 11 p.m.

Orange County Government will continue to remain open for now because it falls within the definition of an “essential business or operation” as described in the Executive Order.

Over the next two days, directors and managers will assess business operations and determine how critical services may be modified further and which employees are no longer required to physically report to the workplace. However, staff is encouraged to telework when approved by your manager.

For information about COVID-19 and telework, visit the COVID-19 Employee Resource webpage or the COVID-19 Employee page on OrangeNet . Please continue to use the employee information hotline (407-836-0005) to receive updates as the situation changes.

We thank you for your public service during this challenging time.
Jerry L. Demings, Orange County Mayor signature
