Workforce Development Board
Has Summer Internships Available
The Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board (GRWDB) is launching the 2021 summer employment and internship program for youth in Hunterdon and Somerset counties, Hunterdon County Commissioner Zachary T. Rich has announced.

As the county’s liaison for the GRWDB, Commissioner Rich said, “This program will provide paid internships for youth and assist with finding candidates to permanently fill those positions. On the heels of the difficulty facing businesses and jobseekers in 2020, this program is a welcome resource to aid citizens and youth during this recovery period from the pandemic.”

The program will run from June 7 to October 31 for youth ages 16 – 24, whether in or out of school, with a requirement of 25 work hours, per week. Twenty-one hours will be working for the employer and the remaining four hours will be used for readiness training and coursework from the SkillUp Greater Raritan online learning portal, to better prepare interns for their future long-term career.
