200 Vaccine Appointments for Age 12+ at KCHD
On Wednesday, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention approved the use of Pfizer/BioNTech's coronavirus vaccine for 12-15-year-olds. In light of this announcement, the Kent County Health Department (KCHD) will start vaccinating this age group on Saturday.
KCHD has appointment availability at the following clinics:
- Saturday, May 15 ∙ KCHD 700 Fuller Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503 ∙ 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Saturday, May 22 ∙ KCHD 700 Fuller Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503 ∙ 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Currently, the Pfizer vaccine is the only one approved for anyone 12 years and older. Anyone under 18 will need a parent/guardian present or a permission note from parent/guardian and a driver who is at least 18 years of age.
