Dear Guild Community Members,

For the past several months, members of The Guild community have been awaiting vaccination, seeing it as the light at the end of the tunnel of the COVID pandemic. We are happy to share with you that The Guild is ready to begin vaccinations for residents (aged 18 and older) and Guild staff with the Moderna vaccine. We are fortunate that Pelmeds, who provides pharmacy services to The Guild's group homes, is our pharmacy partner for this endeavor. Vaccination clinics are beginning this week at several of our residential sites with the plan for a clinic at each of The Guild's group homes over the next few weeks. We will also be hosting a clinic at The Guild's headquarters next Wednesday, January 27, for both residents and staff with plans for a second clinic sometime in February. The Guild's goal is to ensure every resident and staff member has an opportunity to receive COVID-19 vaccination.

Earlier in the month, guardians were sent email communication with information about the COVID-19 vaccine and consent forms. If you would like your resident to receive a COVID-19 vaccine, please ensure that the consent form is completed and sent to Maureen Costello-Shea. Remember, the first round of vaccinations is happening this Thursday, January 21, 2021. Please have your consent forms no later than 7 a.m. on January 21, 2021.

Additionally, an initial survey was distributed to all of Guild staff through Paycom. Those staff members who indicated they would like to be part of initial vaccination process will be contacted by their supervisor for clinics at the houses and by human resources for the larger headquarters-based clinic. If you did not respond to the employee survey through Paycom, please reach out to your supervisor or human resources if you are interested in receiving the COVID vaccine.

Many resources are available to help all of us learn more about the benefits of COVID-19 vaccinations, specifically the Moderna vaccine, which Pelmeds will be distributing at The Guild. Click here for more vaccine information.

We ask your patience as we work to schedule vaccinations for all interested residents and staff. As The Guild rolls out vaccinations, it is important we continue to be vigilant in stopping the spread of COVID-19 by wearing masks and appropriate PPE at all times, ensuring social distancing, and limiting close contacts.
