Do You Have COVID Vaccine Questions?
With the recent approval of two COVID-19 vaccines, we have reached an important stage in our fight against the virus. Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker recently announced the state’s approach to vaccine distribution, which prioritizes people at highest risk.
CHA patients ages 75 or older are now eligible to begin scheduling their vaccine. We are preparing to reach out to eligible patients and will be offering vaccination clinics shortly. At this time, we do not have a wait list for other patients and there is no need to call your provider's office about the COVID vaccine. As more patients become eligible, we will be in touch about our vaccine clinic locations and scheduling.
Because COVID-19 vaccines will be available to more people over the next few months, this is a great time to get educated about the vaccines. Please check our vaccine webpage or call our hotline at 617-665-1987. Many of your questions can be answered there. We will be updating these when we have more information.

CHA Providers Show It’s Safe to Get Vaccinated!

“I got the vaccine because as a physician, I consider it my duty and responsibility to do everything in my power to help end this pandemic. Too many people are suffering. I have lost many patients who were very dear to me. This has to end.”

“It was important to get the COVID-19 Vaccine because both of my parents, especially my mom, are high risk people. Now that a piece of hope has finally arrived, I couldn't miss the opportunity of being around her without the fear of infecting her. I did it for my mom, for my community and me!”
Cristiane Salvino, Patient Access Representative

“I got vaccinated to give me peace of mind. After doing some research, I felt comfortable about getting it."

"I got my COVID vaccine because I want to do my part to get this pandemic under control, and so I can eventually travel to see my family again!"

Having a video visit?
CHA continues to provide telehealth visits by phone and video to give you safe access to your care team. On December 1, we moved to one process for video visits - using Google Meet. MyChart will no longer be used.
How video visits work:
- At your appointment time, look for an email from your clinic.
- Simply click the link to join the visit.
If you have questions, please see our new tip sheets. You can also call our new telehealth help line (617-394-7888) if you need help preparing for your video visit. The help line is open Monday - Friday from 8:00am - 5:00pm.
Please note: there is no change to the process for phone visits.

New in MyCHArt
Direct Scheduling
As a current CHA patient, you have a great new way to schedule your next primary care visit. Just log into your MyChart account and click on “schedule an appointment”. You can now search for openings and schedule a visit with your primary care team. Please note that this feature is currently available for telehealth visits only.
This is a big improvement! There is no need to call during business hours and wait on hold. Just log in to MyChart any time, day or night, to find the date and time that works for you.
Need more information? Check out our “Direct Scheduling” tip sheet.
We are so excited to help improve your health in 2021. Look for more about expanding “Direct Scheduling” to other CHA services in the months ahead.
