, due to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommendation that all gatherings of 50 or more people be cancelled or postponed for the next 8 weeks.
We will instead be hosting a Virtual Walk to kick off our camp season on the first day of Camp Spike’N’Wave on Sunday, June 7, 2020. While we are disappointed we won’t be seeing you in person we are excited to be hosting this Virtual Walk to END EPILEPSY – and we hope you are, too!
What is a Virtual Walk?
A virtual walk is a set date and time where we all will pledge to walk in support of the Epilepsy Foundation. Instead of walking with us in person, you’ll be walking with us in your own neighborhood, at your gym, or wherever you choose on Sunday, June 7. You have the freedom and choice to join us in whatever capacity you are able! Just be sure to join us for our Virtual Walk Celebration Ceremony that morning before or after you complete your walk!
How do I sign up to participant in a Virtual Walk?
This is easy! If you have already signed up, you don’t have to do any extra work! All participants are now “Virtual Walkers”, so you can use your existing login, and event page to access your fundraising resources and get updates on the event! New participants can still sign up at
. It’s still free to register and individuals who fundraise $50 or more will receive the Event T-Shirt via mail. Remember registration is two-step process. First register as a virtual walker, then start a personal fundraising page and team page.
We know you have some questions about this Virtual Walk, and what this means in regards to your participation and fundraising.
