May 13, 2020
As the days of the calendar tick by, the challenge of what summer learn to sail programs will look like looms ahead as the next biggest challenge for sailing organizations across the province to consider. There is a myriad of changes required at each of your organizations to meet the required guidelines and you must take time to consider them and make a plan for you and your team to be able to implement them before your Board of Directors commits to proceeding with any sailing school or learn to sail programs for the summer of 2020.
While we are still awaiting more guidance from the government and public health on what may be permitted and some hint at what the next few months may look like, Ontario Sailing will support our member organizations with updates on information available and some considerations in regard to potential program modifications.
We will be hosting a webinar on Tuesday, May 19th at 9:30am to review details of what we know about the government's Reopening Framework and how those specifically impact sailing schools, learn to sail programs and sailing day camp type programs.
Our intent is to provide insights both on sailing specific protocols and the overall day camp style program considerations during the webinar. We will not be covering employee items except perhaps items specific to sailing school operations as workplace was discussed in the previous webinar. Note that this
webinar opportunity is limited to only representatives of our member organizations that run learning to sail programs.
We're looking forward to having your organization represented on this important webinar on Tuesday May 19th at 9:30am.
