Unemployment Benefits and Bridge Loan Programs for Businesses Impacted by Coronavirus
If you closed your business as part of the mitigation efforts in Florida to stop the spread of COVID-19, your employees may be eligible to receive unemployment benefits.

The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity administers reemployment benefits, which provide temporary income for workers who lose their jobs through no fault of their own and who are able and available for work. Please reference the image below or download this PDF for the FAQs related to this program.

Please note: Claims filed without correctly reporting employers may experience delays. It is important to list the correct employment information when filing your claim. If you fail to do so, your benefits may be delayed while the missing employment information is obtained

In addition, Florida's bridge loan program has been enacted. For-profit, privately held small businesses with two to 100 employees that maintain a place of business in Florida, were established before March 9, 2020 and suffered economic injury as a result of the disaster can apply. The need for the loan and use of the money must be directly related to the economic injury caused by the disaster. You can find details of the program here. The loan application is available here .
