Oakwood Park officially open
Oakwood Park in Blue Ash officially opened last evening after a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The approximately $400,000 park improvement project, located at Oak Avenue and Idalia Avenue, includes a new community shelter and playground.

The site also features an updated basketball court, new grills, new restroom facilities, and additional parking. Read more and click above to see the slideshow.
Blue Ash Police Chief speaks at Blue Ash for Black Lives Matter Rally
Blue Ash Police Chief Scott Noel spoke at the Blue Ash for Black Lives Matter rally held last night (6/11). The event, organized by citizens, began with a caravan of over 100 vehicles and ended with a rally at Towne Square. Read Police Chief Scott Noel's speech here .
Simple Recycling discontinues service in Blue Ash
Simple Recycling has announced it will not be relaunching curbside service in Blue Ash and greater Cincinnati area. The textile collection company cites the COVID-19 pandemic as the reason for the decision.

The City of Blue Ash Parks and Recreation Department has announced openings of several amenities, including playgrounds. Read more.

Catch up on COVID-19 news
The U.S. Census Bureau, in coordination with federal, state and local health officials, will begin to drop off 2020 Census questionnaire packets at front doors of households in Ohio in the week of June 1, according to a news release. This is done in areas where the majority of households do not receive mail at their physical address. The Census Bureau began hand-delivering census materials on March 15, but suspended all fieldwork for this operation on March 18 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
