Dear Families of The Learning Experience in Bucktown,

The health and safety of our students and staff is and always will be our top priority. We remain committed to transparent communication with our families and staff, ensuring everyone stays as informed as possible regarding any COVID-19 developments relative to our center.

We have been notified that two individuals at our center tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. One individual was last in the center on 8/2/22, the other 8/3/22. We immediately reached out to our local regulatory agencies for further guidance. We have been advised to close the classrooms that had direct contact with this individual beginning today to allow everyone to self-quarantine and monitor for symptoms.

Everyone affected by this change has been personally notified by center management.

The more common symptoms of Covid-19 may include sore throat; cough (wet or dry); tiredness; fever; muscle aches and pain; nausea or diarrhea; sudden loss of taste or smell; tightness or pain in the chest, and in the most severe cases, difficulty breathing.

As we have learned over the past year, even fully vaccinated individuals can experience COVID-19 breakthrough illness. Fortunately, vaccinated individuals tend to experience less severe symptoms and the duration tends to be shorter than unvaccinated individuals.

As a precautionary measure, we are asking that if you or your child has had any of the symptoms listed, or if you have been exposed to someone who has tested positive, that you please visit your physician for further evaluation and testing.

Please contact the center immediately if you or someone in your family tests positive.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused your family. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we continue our work to keep everyone safe and make the best decisions for our entire TLE community.

Please stay safe and well.

Sterling Werfal
