Zoom video from COVID Policy Team meeting

In this video, Board Chair Claire Wyneken shares the details of a change in COVID measures at Eliot Chapel in response to the community levels of the disease in St. Louis County.

Dear Eliot Family:

The COVID Policy Team met on Tuesday, February 28 to review our policy regarding COVID measures. We agree that the policy as previously created is sound.

We remind everyone that if you are to be in the building, you must be up-to-date on your vaccines. Currently, that means everyone ages five and older must have the current bivalent vaccine. This helps protect you, and helps reduce the spread of COVID in the community.

We utilize the St Louis County's Department of Public Health COVID-19 Data Dashboard for the data we use to determine our COVID measures at Eliot Unitarian Chapel in accord with CDC recommendations.

Currently the community level is Medium or Yellow level.

When St. Louis County is at a Yellow Level or Medium Level, we will:

  • Encourage a mask indoors in public.
  • Stay up-to-date on COVID Vaccines.
  • Get tested if you have symptoms.
  • Allow the serving of food or drink at Eliot.
  • Explore additional precautions for people at high risk for severe illness.

When you are at Eliot, whether for a service, a meeting, or some other event, we ask that you consider wearing a mask, when it is not required. To be effective, choose a surgical, N95, or KN95 mask.  If you forget yours or do not have one, we will have one of these masks available.

The COVID Policy Team will continue to monitor the St. Louis County COVID Levels weekly and alter measures at Eliot when levels change.

We will continue to make our Sunday services available via livestream on our website and YouTube channel. In addition, groups who are meeting in person may consider using Eliot's Zoom services.

Please join us as we care for one another through the ongoing pandemic.  We will continue to seek to balance safety with providing the support and services essential in these complex times.
