A Letter from Session
Dear Crossroads Members and Friends,

The Covid surge in Ozaukee County is rapidly diminishing, aided by a drop in reported cases and by high vaccination levels in our county.

In light of this good news, the Crossroads Session met last night to align our protocols with the new CDC guidelines issued on Friday, February 25. According to those guidelines, masks are optional.

As of March 1, face coverings will be optional for anyone coming into the building. An exception will be made for childcare workers, who will continue to mask as they care for children up to age 5 who are ineligible for the vaccine.

Our preschool is following a separate protocol plan.

We know that some people will still need or prefer to wear face coverings. For peace of mind and individual medical concerns, the left side of the sanctuary (closest to the parking lot) will continue to be reserved for social distancing, and face coverings will be required. Those pews are clearly marked.

Ash Wednesday worship and the pre-service dinner on March 2, will therefore also be mask optional.

We will celebrate communion on Sunday, March 6, with masked and gloved communion servers.

Because Crossroads is a diverse church, we know that some will welcome these changes, while others may feel worry, concern, or something in between. Wherever you are on the spectrum of feelings about face coverings and gatherings, let us continue to give each other grace and stay unified in our common mission as a congregation to Know Christ and bring others to Him.

For those who are unable to attend in-person worship, we will continue to offer livestreaming worship and hybrid classes.

We gather in many ways, but we are one church, united, humbly following Jesus Christ.

In His Name,
The Crossroads Session
