Have Epic questions? Want to work on your Epic efficiencies? Provider coaches are here to help.

The University of Colorado School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing education credits to physicians. The University of Colorado School of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 18 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Education and support for Epic Therapy Plans
Want to be more efficient with Therapy Plans? Have questions or need additional training? You have options.

Book a 1:1 appointment with a provider coach who is knowledgeable about therapy plans to receive additional training and ask questions. Notice there is also an option on the Bookings site for Immediate Support if preferred.
Or email the Epic and Applications Support Team to schedule time in-person with a support team member.
Atlas Portal enterprise report platform now in hyperspace
Effective 8/26, Epic analytic content will be discoverable in Atlas Portal and can be searched by Epic content types (like Reporting Workbench or Crystal). Users can open Atlas Portal in a Hyperspace session; it will look, feel, and function exactly the same whether accessed from Hyperspace or the web. For more information, review the Atlas Portal training.
Atlas Portal will eventually be a one-stop shop for analytic content across platforms. Rather than having to open one browser window for Excel and SSRS reports and another for Power BI (while also having Hyperspace open for Epic Content) Atlas Portal will be the single search engine to find what you need. You don’t need to think about where content lives; Atlas Portal does the work for you.

Wellness Synopsis
We have consolidated Wellness into a singe tab in the Synopsis sidebar. There is no longer a Prim Care Adult Wellness synopsis, however the Procedures section from it has been added to the Wellness Synopsis. Procedures includes: colonscopies, mammogram, cervical cytology
Tentatively due status has been removed from HMM
After the July upgrade, a "tentatively due" status started appearing on topics in the Health Maintenance Module (HMM). This status was not functioning as designed, so we have removed "tentatively due" from all topics in the HMM. In the future, we will determine whether reapplying this status might be helpful to our care teams and patients.
Problem Based Charting from Dr. Rich Altman
We’re sorry for the hiccups since upgrade, and sincerely hope that it hasn’t affected your patient care and sanity.

There are three new features.
1)     The ability to use the “Toggle View” to let you choose the PBC view that works best for you:
  • Show Previous A/P and Associated Data sections
  • Show Previous A/P but hide Associated Data sections
  • Hide Previous A/P but show Associated Data sections
  • Hide both Previous A/P and Associated Data sections
The settings will remain between patients – give it a try to see how it works!
2)     Date of the Previous A/P note now shows on the label, so you know when this text is from.
3)     A handy “Help” link in case things get confusing.
New adult HPV topic
An HPV vaccine topic will now fire for all patients age 19 thru 26 who do not have adequate documentation of a completed series. This topic will not trigger reminders, but will be seen in MHC.
Inpatient
Neurology navigator for all specialties
This navigator has neurology-specific items, but may be used by specialties other than neurology. If your center is a Joint Commission Primary or Comprehensive Stroke Center, consider using the Stroke tab. The information is easily extractable by our stroke coordinators to upload to Get With the Guidelines.
Better malnutrition documentation
We have updated the .MALNUTRITION SmartPhrase so that it can easily pull more robust documentation into the provider notes. With this new comprehensive phrase in place, MALNUTRITIONSTATUS will be retired.
