AGC Member/Safety Bulletin: Use of masks clarified by L&I

AGC is one of the employer groups that has been negotiating with the Governor’s Office on re-opening construction activity. The negotiating group needed L&I's approval on the use of masks. As the attached AGC memo describes, L&I has created a matrix that details the types of masks that workers should use in different situations, for example when workers can’t work six feet apart. The Use of Mask chart is attached. Please review the AGC memo and the matrix.

As a reminder, Phase 2 construction has not been approved or even defined yet.  The Governor’s Phased Approach Chart includes new construction projects in his Phase 2. We expect Phase 2 will also include more complicated work settings. As David D’Hondt explains in his memo (link provided above), there are still grey areas.
