Dear Families of Students in Grades 10-12,
As a follow-up to yesterday’s letter about potential vaccine sites, we wanted to let you know that today the Ohio Department of Health decided that 16- and 17-year-olds can receive the Pfizer vaccine with a written consent form instead of a parent or guardian being present. The Pfizer vaccine is the option being provided at Genesis HealthCare System in Zanesville, where you can make an appointment for either April 16th or 21st, when they expect to have hundreds of doses available. If you are interested, call 740-297-8610 to have them provide a consent form and reserve a spot.
For anyone 18 years and older, Giant Eagle in Grandview (840 W 3rd Ave., Columbus 43212) is offering the Johnson & Johnson vaccine at a pop-up clinic from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. starting tomorrow (Friday, April 9th) and lasting through next Friday, April 16th. To make an appointment, visit https://gianteaglesched.rxtouch.com/gesched/program/mc3/Patient/Advisory.
