Dear St. John’s Parents:

First, thank you for your support of our teachers during this Teacher Appreciation Week—and for all the weeks throughout the school year, both in class and online.

As we have waited and watched and followed the guidelines given by our government and health leaders, it has become clearly apparent that we will not be returning to our classrooms this quarter. We will complete our school year online, with the last official day of classes being Friday, June 5.

I appreciate the input that we have received from you. We know that having your children working at home has created a great deal of upheaval in your households. We also understand from your conversations that you have come to realize the hard work that teachers are putting in to make sure our curriculum is delivered.

We must ask for your continued support in helping insure that students “attend” their scheduled classes and complete and submit assignments. As usual, you may follow their progress on Blackbaud, and (most importantly) contact teachers if you have questions or comments.

On Monday, May 11, in alignment with government guidelines, we will open the school office with limited hours (9:00 AM to 3:00 PM). We will employ some protocols to insure safety. Entry will be limited in number to one visitor for each office area, and all visitors must wear face masks. If you wish to meet with one of us particularly, please email or call ahead so that we can be expecting you. You may still drop your enrollment contracts and payments by check in the front drop box if you wish. You can also make account payments on line—call the Business Office for guidelines or email .

Since we have extended our registration deadline and the deadline for applying for financial aid for next year (May 30), the letters of award for approved financial aid will not go out until the beginning of June. Please call or email me if you have particular concerns in regard to your application.

Happy Mothers’ Day to all of you very special Mothers of Knights!
