In partnership with the City of Laguna Beach, CP&A hosted a Legislative Staffer Luncheon on February 13th at the Laguna Beach Community and Susi Q Center. This lunch featured a briefing on some of the project’s CP&A is helping the City of Laguna Beach with such as hardening the infrastructure along Laguna Canyon Road, protecting open space from wildfire through prescriptive fuel modification programs, and finding funding for key City Council priorities.

Mayor Whalen welcomed the audience and Fire Chief Niko King along with Public Works Director Mark McAvoy provided information on how the City has been working to mitigate fire hazards.

Thank you to all the legislative offices that were represented. Special thanks to our friends at Mark Thomas Engineering for sponsoring lunch and to Mayor Bob Whalen, Councilmember Alex Rounaghi, Fire Chief Niko King, and Public Works Director Mark McAvoy for facilitating the briefing and discussions.
