Colorado Parents Guide to Parents' Weekend
Parents' Weekend is certainly an exciting time. In addition to coming together as a community to celebrate this new year - for the C4C Cadets, this is the first extended relaxed time we've had as a family. Here are some words of wisdom from those who have gone before you - for the parents of C4Cs and all the cadets:
Accountability - there are certain times your C4C Cadet will need to report:
  • 3 September 2021 classes (check with your cadet)
  • 4 September 2021, 8:00 a.m. Squadron Accountability Formation for Third & Fourth Class Cadets
  • 4 September 2021, Football game 12:00 pm USAFA vs. Lafayette
  • 6 September 2021, 7:50 pm Fourth, Third & Second Class Cadets report to duty

Off base, your C4C Cadet will need to wear their Service Dress uniform when in public, or PC gear if doing activities like hiking, etc.

Let them enjoy Colorado Springs, or go home if you can. Give them a break and let them relax some.

Recommended things to take advantage of during the weekend
  • CPC Tailgating, even if you aren't going to the game
  • See Jack's Valley and experience BCT through your Cadet's memories
  • Join your Cadet and experience Mitchell Hall food (there may be restrictions)
  • Visit the Parent Information Fair at Arnold Hall
  • Arrive early to the parade on Friday at Stillman Field to experience the jump and glider demonstrations and meet some of the falcon mascots

Keep the pressure off your Cadet and let them guide you through their experiences.

Take a hike with your Cadet on the Falcon Trail.

Enjoy the beauty of the Academy!

We hope you make it. Come check us out at our table in Arnold Hall where most of our volunteers are parents of USAFA graduates - happy to answer your questions and help you get the most out of the weekend.
Accomplishing the Mission -
Welcome to the Family!
The mission of the United States Air Force Academy Colorado Parents' Club is to provide an avenue for parents and guardians to enrich The Academy experience of all Colorado cadets and Academy community.
We are all about accomplishing this mission. Even though things looked a little different last year - we were still out there serving our cadets and Academy community. This year we are back into the full swing of things. It's not too late to sign up for the unique Colorado cadet experience. We've already welcomed the new cadets and parents through the New Appointee Lunch, I-Day Picnic, and A-Day. Now we hope to see you and all of our Colorado parents during Parents' Weekend.

Unique Colorado Parents' Club Experiences:
  • Tailgating in the cadet area and second to none - of course, we are in Colorado!
  • Colorado All Service Academy Ball - open to all Cadets. Seniors of CPC members receive a free ticket to CASAB (this year, a $75.00 value).
  • Senior End of Year Celebration - Celebration open to all CPC members and cadets. Seniors of CPC members receive a special, hand-made engraved box made by a Vietnam Veteran. Inside are many special items for the new 2nd Lts as they begin their Air Force careers.
  • Free Spring Finals Goodie Bag

If you have joined us, welcome! This will be an exciting year for all cadets. Pass the word along. If you haven't, there is no time like the present. Join us and help us accomplish the mission.
SUPPORT THE COLORADO PARENTS' CLUB

#1: Join - our strength is in our numbers. Aside from tailgating and all the cool one-of-a-kind gifts, it is a great way to serve and give back to those at the Academy. It is a great way to meet other Academy parents and forge friendships that will last beyond the Academy years.

#2: Get a Goodie Bag for your Cadet - Put a smile on your cadet during some of the most stressful times with a bag full of Snacks and AF logo novelty items made especially for each Goodie Bag edition. Goodie Bags are our primary fundraiser, and Goodie Bag sales enable us to host the annual I-Day picnic, tailgates, cadet awards, and all of our other events. Without Goodie Bag sales, there is less that we are able to do.

#3: Buy a Goodie Bag for another Cadet - many cadets do not have parents that are able to participate. Support the club and enhance the experience of other cadets by donating a Goodie Bag.

#4: Volunteer - the fundraiser is great and crucial to our mission, but so are you. Help us enhance the experience of your cadet, all Colorado cadets, and even all new parents as we host the I-Day picnic, assemble and deliver Goodie Bags, and other services/events throughout the year.
