Worship with us every Sunday at 10 am.

All are welcome.

Dear CPC Family,

When is the last time you witnessed something amazing worth telling others about? A beautiful sunset, a child's first steps, an Olympic performance, the extraordinary kindness of a stranger? If your eyes and ears are attuned, you witness things -- good and bad -- every day that are worthy of reporting.

For the next 40 days, we will be reading stories from the Gospel of John -- a gospel all about WITNESS. John as gospel writer was aware of himself as a witness to God's miraculous presence in Jesus Christ, and he saw his readers as important witnesses, too. We are to read about and talk about Jesus testified to in the gospels, but also expect the Spirit of Jesus still to be moving among us.

With that sense of expectancy, if you see something awe-inspiring, share it. If you see something heart-breaking, share it. If you see something that makes you re-think your life in some way, share it. In fact, I'd love to share some "God-Sighting" stories here in this e-news! If you witness God at work in a small or big way and would be willing to share it in paragraph form with others at CPC, email me at pastorbetsey@pfcpc.org. Together, as active witnesses, we will hold one another up on the journey, reminding each other that God is among us.

Grateful to walk this road with you,

Betsey

Read through the Gospel of John

with the CPC Congregation!

During the Lenten season, some people deny themselves something like chocolate or coffee. An alternative practice is to ADD IN a spiritual discipline. You are invited to read through the entire Gospel of John (our preaching focus for the season) during the 40 days of Lent -- counted as every day between now and Easter, minus the Sundays. The readings start small and grow as the season and gospel develops. Print your own guide (click here), or pick up a reading guide in the narthex.

Then:

  • Before each reading, take a deep breath and ask God to be present to you in the words you read.
  • Follow the Lectio Divina (Divine Reading) pattern, Read - Meditate (What part of this passage resonates with me today?) - Pray - Restful Silence
  • Consider journaling your thoughts as you go.

Did You Miss a Sermon?

Browse Our Online Sermon Library!

We are working to make our church website (pfcpc.org) useful, inviting, informative, and beautiful! One of the features is a SERMON LIBRARY that stores audio recordings of all sermons dating back to June 2025. If you miss a Sunday, you can still hear the sermon (normally posted on the Tuesday following). And if you want to hear a sermon again or refer it to a friend, you know where to go!

(The sermon library is accessed from our home page. Go to www.pfcpc.org and look in the top right for "Sermons." Click on that and it will take you to the library.)
