Dear CPC Family,

It's July 4th weekend, a time when many of us will gather with family and friends and reflect on our nation's 250th anniversary. For Christians, occasions like these can also invite us to consider how we live as neighbors, seek the common good, and give thanks for God's gifts while examining our own lives with humility.

This Sunday, which is also Communion Sunday, we'll reflect on the themes of righteousness, grace, and community at God's Table—a table that welcomes people from every nation and extends far beyond any earthly border. Together we will receive the spiritual nourishment that strengthens us to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with God.

Summer is traditionally a time to step out of routine and give ourselves permission to wander and daydream. What better season to let our minds “wonder” about our big questions of faith? 

When we look at how Jesus graciously handled curiosity and doubt, we can affirm that “Not All Who ‘Wonder’ Are Lost!”

CPC Members wrote down and submitted their “wonderings” about the Bible and Christian faith, and in worship from June through August, we ALL get to ponder these questions. Stay each Sunday for the post-worship Q and R (Question and Response) time with the preacher!

Some of your questions didn't make it into the series. On August 30, the post-worship Q & R time will be extended to address as many of the omitted questions as we can get through! 

Thank you to our Deacons for the delicious cupcakes and fruit to celebrate the amazing humans born in April, May, and June! 

Remember to head to Q'emiln Park RATHER THAN our church sanctuary on July 12! Bring a lawn chair, a hat, and water to drink as we worship with our neighbors from at least four other congregations in Post Falls. 

Let's proudly wear our Community Presbyterian shirts to community worship at Q'emiln Park. If you've got it - wear it!

Mission Moment

"The 2026 Union Gospel Recovery Commencement took place recently. It was a joy to celebrate God's hand in restoring lives of these people, to gain deeper insight into what UGM is and does, and to share in all the smiles...that hit me the most....those huge beautiful smiles...and as a woman walked across the stage to recieve her certificate...a voice from the crowd..."that's my mom!"

First Sunday "Least Coin" Collection



Did you know that all coins that are received in the offering on the first Sunday of the month go to support the caring ministries of the Deacons? So drop your spare change in a jar or baggie throughout the month and remember to bring it on the first Sunday. (That's this Sunday!)

If you have volunteered with Family Promise at CPC, you are invited to a picnic to celebrate you and connect you with volunteers from other churches!

Where: The Kiwanis Park in Post Falls

When: Sunday, July 19 from 3-6 pm

What: We'll Eat: Hot dogs and water provided, bring a side dish to share.

Community Bulletin Board

Whaaaaaaat? There's a Duplicate Bridge Club at CPC!

There is a Duplicate Bridge Club that is putting our Fellowship Hall to good use each Monday this summer. Duplicate Bridge has some incredible health benefits! It is widely considered one of the most effective ways to maintain cognitive health, memory, and social well-being. Some of the key cognitive benefits to duplicate bridge include:

• Brain Stimulation
• Reduced Risk of Dementia
• Duplicate-Specific Perks
• Active Socialization
• Mood Improvement

The club is open to all, but it is not a "drop in" club. Please contact Peter Bartells to learn more about this fun group and the game itself to make sure this is right for you. Please call Peter at 509-309-1420. Thanks and have fun!
